David Cook's Brother Unlikely to Attend Idol Finale

While David Cook prepares for this week's two-night American Idol season finale, PEOPLE has learned that it is unlikely that one of his biggest supporters, brother Adam Cook, will be in the audience. Adam, 37, who has been battling brain cancer for the past ten years, was able travel to Los Angeles to see David perform live on April 15, but will likely stay home this week due to his condition.

Adam's health is "a day-to-day thing," his wife Kendra told PEOPLE last month. "I can't look at tomorrow. I have to look at today. If I start planning out and thinking about too much in the future, I can get overwhelmed in all the details. I have to concentrate on today." David Cook and David Archuleta will go head-to-head on Tuesday's live performance show from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

The results will air live on Wednesday's two-hour season finale. Cook supporters will host a viewing party in Terre Haute, Ind., where Adam lives, on Wednesday, but Adam, Kendra, and their two young children, will most likely watch the show from their home.

David Cook is the NEW American Idol

The 25-year-old bartender from Blue Springs, Mo., became the seventh American Idol Wednesday in front more than 7,000 screaming fans at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre. On the last night performance, Simon was really hard on him said that his song choice wasn't right. It's so ironic because last week Cowell said Cook will take the title. Later on, Cowell apologizes to Cook because he thinks he was verging on disrespectful with Cook and doesn’t think David Cook deserves that.

However, David Cook said thanks to the fans and give us a goosebump moment when he sang the winner song the time of my life from Idol's Song Competition.

Final, babe!

David cook made it to the final. Yay!
Now we can smile and laugh and have a high five with your friend. Both davids are going to the final together next week. And Syesha Mercado was eliminated last Wednesday.


On Tuesday, David sang First time I ever saw your face on the first row. The song was chose by Simon Cowell. Simon liked it and so did Paula but Rady said that he wanted to see David get more rocking. On the second row, David chose Dare you to move. The judges said that his second performance just okay. On the last performance, he sang I don't wanna miss a thing which chose by the producers. Randy said that it was expected performance. Even though, Paula loved it and Simon commented that David won at that night. We want to share this video if you were missed watch american idol this week.



On the result show on the next day, it announced that David was made to the final. And before it announced yet, Ryan showed the david's video when he went back to his hometown. He was crying on the video because he touched with the citizen of his hometown were very welcomed.

According to blender.com, Simon tells his opinion about the American idol this year, "I think he's done more to deserve it over the eleven weeks, He's taken more risks, he's done things with certain songs that have been more interesting. If I'm gonna base it on who has done the best performances over the live shows, David Cook deserves to win."

DC made it to the top 3

David Cook made to the top 3. Congrats David! He sang really well on Tuesday and all the judges loved it. Because he was made it to the top 3, he came back to his hometown.

This week, he will sing 3 songs. And Us Weekly reported two songs that will sing by David Cook. David has said that his own selection will be the 1995 ballad The World I Know by Georgia rock band, Collective Soul. Simon Cowel has chosen First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack for David to sing on the show on Tuesday. And another song will be a song that chosen by the producer.

David will perform on Tuesday along with two others contestants, Syesha and David Archuleta. I hope David will make his good performance and we make to the final =)

The Cooks

Congratulations for David Cook. Yeah, he made it to the Top 4.

The theme of this week was Neil Diamond and David had to sing two songs, like others contestants. David decided to sing “I am Alive” and “All I Really Need Is You”. He sang so well, although on his first performance, Simon commented “just average”. Bu he changed his opinion after he watched David’s second performance. He said that it was brilliant. Paula seemed like she loves David’s performance until she said that David Cook would be the American Idol. Wow! It was really positive comment from the judges. The judges weren’t making a decision who would be the next American Idol but the audience who made a decision by voting their each idol. So please, keep voting for David cook so we can see David Cook be the next American Idol.

On the result show, David was saved along with David Archuleta and Jason Castro. The two ladies were not saved and they were in a bottom two. And Brooke White had to leave the show last night. It looked like she was really emotional last night. She was crying a lot.
Next week, the top 4 will perform rock and roll theme. It sounds good news for us. As we know, David will beat with all contestants. Yup, he is rocker. I hope he will make a good performance and three yes’ from judges.

Do you still remember AC? The initial AC on David’s guitar is acronym of Adam and Andrew Cook. You already saw Adam Cook on TV when he was watching in the front row. But you never see Andrew Cook. So I have a picture of him. I found it on MySpace. Yeah, thanks to MySpace again =)
